RESPONSE

Last Fridays discussion was pretty interesting we talked about the issue of the mosque. If we should let them build the mosque in Ground Zero where the 9/11 happens. There was a lot of people died and for me I dont want them to build the mosque in Ground Zero. Its like a slap for us, because a lot of Americans died.  But on the other hand, one of my co-students said that we have a freedom to believe on whatever we want and for that i think that Muslims can build the mosque where ever they want. Im kinda neutral about this issue. I dont know what else to say, but all i want is peace and try to make all everybody happy. God bless us !

Friends mourn teen killed by train

"She really lived up to that name," Alana's mother, Jennifer, said Wednesday. "She wasn't the type of kid who thought about herself; she thought about other people. She was just a beautiful child that had that personality that you just love her. And that's why people are so sad."

Focus on rape conviction rates stopping women coming forward, warns Stern

A misleading focus on the proportion of rape cases that result in conviction has left victims' needs neglected and stopped women coming forward, the author of a landmark government review said.
The independent report by Baroness Stern was commissioned by the government last year in response to ongoing concerns over the level of rape cases resulting in convictions. But in an interview with the Guardian, Stern said that while they remained important, the conviction rate was "not the be all and end all".

My Response...

Last Friday’s class discussion on health care was really interesting. Some students give me more ideas about healthcare and they explained it really good. Government need to finish this issue there are a lot of people taking advantage of the government benefits. For example my grandfather’s friend he is a US citizen but he doesn’t like it her in US. So he always go to his country and just come back here to the US just to get his medication and food stamps. I think for me its unfair because there are a lot of senior citizen who doesn’t have the medical or food stamps and they lived here in America for their whole life. I wish the government can solve this type of things. I still believe to our President he just need some time to make a change here in America.
